Tiffani - we voted on the map last meeting. Tonight we are voting on the report that reflects the work of the task force.

ANC4B did not submit a reduction because it would not have great weight. you did however receive letters or comments from the majority of the Commission.

Commissioner Johnson, we will be voting to approve our narrative report of the work we did, the feedback we heard, and documenting our recommendations.

ANC Commissioners have oversight by the appointed City Council Representative.

The Executive Office of the ANC has the responsibility to do conduct outreach and education about ANCs

This task force should be limited to ANC boundaries redistricting, not the operations and behaviors/conducts.

None of the prior previous Task Force public meetings ever mentioned this topic of the report until today. I think it would be unwise for the Task Force to broach this subject at the last minute when no feedback was solicited from the feedback, including current Ward 4 Commissions.

why is this being brought up now? no community input, very little ANC input. if ANCs even get the invite.i didn't.

I don’t feel well informed enough by information nor public feedback to vote up any specific recommendations, and think we should decline to submit this portion.

I attended every single public Task Force meeting and this topic was barely mentioned

Our community association mentioned the Taskforce meetings and the public meetings monthly.

so...my constituents without internet access? how do they weigh in...they reach out to me. and I'm not provided the calendar dates/times for these mtgs.

There are Commissions and commissioners who have recommended numerous, detailed recommendations over many years to make ANCs operate better. Has the Task Force fully explored all of those recommendations? Has the Task Force watched the oversight hearings held by Robert White regarding revamping the OANC? How many of those recommendations will be included in the final report?

ANC Commissioners should be paid. It should operate like the lower house of the legislature that it will be if/when we acquire statehood. If we intend to be a state, let's operate like one.

I agree that we should steer clear of behavior and conduct regarding ANCs. That is however the challenge for the Council and OANC.

I'll admit I had no idea when Inwas a renter, that I could run for ANC as such. I agree to how and who can run may be appropriate. Just wondering how that works since we were charged to be apolitical

@Barbara: I saw the notifications, but there was little space for community input. Meetings I attended focused on feedback from subcommittee members.

@Commissioner Johnson, we voted on the map and Section 1, which is written and reviewed by all of the Task Force members. We held two public hearings at which residents testified, and gathered feedback via email, voicemail and social media. Task Force members distributed fliers and presented at ANC meetings.

I'm interested to know who will answer Council questions if are asked of the Taskforce?
